Brooklyn’s Mahogany L. Browne—a prolific writer, advocate for public art, and Lincoln Center’s inaugural poet-in-residence—hosts Soft Loving Ways, the September iteration of her Seen, Sound, Scribe series, now beginning its third season. Browne brings her experience to bear for a thought-provoking gathering of creators: filmmaker Amhalise Morgan; poets Cyrus Aaron, Fred T. Joseph, and Joél Leon and DJ Jive Poetic. We welcome new and old friends to take part in a night where men are seen with adoration, with love, and with softness through film, poetry, dialogue, and music.
