Consulting Services

Hands On offers consulting to cultural organizations on accessibility for Deaf and disabled audiences.  Services include marketing strategies, staff training and disability community outreach and engagement campaigns.

Hands On consults with some of the city’s most popular venues to design interpreted performances, including Roundabout Theatre Company, New Victory Theater, The Public Theater, Radio City Music Hall and the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

For each interpreted performance, Hands On does the following:

• Consults with theatres and works with their production staff to make their shows accessible to Deaf audiences.
• Contracts interpreters for selected performances.
• Conducts outreach to Deaf and Hard of Hearing audiences through its Cultural Calendar and links to community organizations, thereby helping increase attendance.
