Join us for an American Sign Language (ASL) Tour exploring the National Design Awards with a special focus on the Emerging Designer category.

Led by a Deaf educator, this program will dive into the history of the National Design Awards and what it means to be an “Emerging Designer.” Learn about past awardees and explore how design impacts our everyday lives.

Following the talk, participants will attend a lecture with Nu Goteh—winner of the 2025 National Design Award for Emerging Designer. Goteh will present his renowned work that spans his community-centered research, branding, publishing, and social practice. Goteh will also be in conversation with Salome Asega to discuss design’s ability to mirror and shape the world we live in. Learn more about the lecture
