Artist Baseera Khan presents the debut live performance of their album I Am an Archive, accompanied by singer/bassist Caithlin De Marrais and guitarist Kaia Fischer of Rainer Maria, and drummer Stuart Gunter of Chamomile & Whiskey. The album was created for the special exhibition Baseera Khan: I Am an Archive—where, often using their own body as an archive, Khan engages colonial histories through collage, sculpture, performance, and installation to map geographies of the future. After the performance, stay for a conversation between the musicians about scoring an exhibition and how sound and installation work together in Khan’s artistic practice.
