National Dance Institute (NDI), the nonprofit arts education organization founded by legendary New York City Ballet principal dancer Jacques d’Amboise, will celebrate our planet’s natural wonders and address urgent environmental issues at their 2024 Event of the Year. “Earth’s Song” will bring together over 150 talented children from New York City schools in a vibrant dance and live music performance. The event will feature a new piece by Tiffany Rea-Fisher, NDI’s 2024 Helen Stambler Neuberger Artist-in-Residence, founder of EMERGE125 and curator for Bryant Park Picnic Performances; and another will feature dancers from the NDI DREAM Project, performed by dancers with and without disabilities.
NDI’s dance and music program enriches the lives of more than 6,500 children in 51 New York City schools each week. NDI empowers young performers to express themselves creatively while also addressing global issues. “Earth’s Song” aims to foster a deeper appreciation for our planet’s natural beauty and a collective action for sustainable stewardship of our planet.
