This winter recess, join us at the Intrepid Museum for ASL-interpreted presentations and workshops during Kids Week!
Children of all ages and interests will learn about science, technology, engineering, arts and math through fun-filled activities, live animal shows, hands-on workshops, performances, special guests and interactive demonstrations designed to educate and inspire.
Families and individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing are invited to attend for free for American Sign Language-interpreted presentations, demonstrations and workshops. Advance registration is required.
Noon – Intrepid Museum Education Demonstration: Star Stories
For millennia, people have gazed at the stars and told stories about the pictures they see there. Hear a few myths from around the world that explain the patterns we see in the night sky.

Create and test different paper airplane designs to see which one flies best with its design purpose!

All visitors must follow the Museum’s health and safety guidelines. Following the City of New York’s Key to the City mandate, all visitors ages 5 and older will be required to show proof they have received two vaccine doses (except for those who have received the one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine), as well as identification, before entering the Museum.
