 an show\, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe\, exam
 ines American society\, art\, and power and explores the feminist movement
 .\n\nRevisited in a new 90-minute production\, commissioned by The Shed\,
  the comedic and quick-witted play stars Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Liv
 e\, Schmigadoon!) in her New York theatrical debut\, directed by Tony-nom
 inated Leigh Silverman (The Lifespan of a Fact\, Violet).\n\nIn a role or
 iginated by Lily Tomlin\, Strong first becomes Trudy\, a mischievously cle
 ver observer of the society around her. As Strong transforms into a series
  of other archetypal characters\, Trudy becomes the play’s guiding consc
 ience for the audience—a comical\, quirky\, and outlandish conveyor of t
 he nuances of American society.\n\nInterpreter: Anne Tomasetti\n\nInterpre

  Assistive listening devices will be available in the theater using T-coil

 \n\nAudience members 5 years and older must be fully vaccinated at least 1
 4 days before the date of the performance. Acceptable proof of vaccination
  includes a CDC-issued vaccination card\, the NYS Excelsior Pass\, the Cle
 ar Health Pass\, and the NYC COVID Safe App\, in addition a government-iss
 ued photo ID is required for visitors 18 years and older. Visitors must we
 ar a properly fitting mask covering their nose and mouth at all times whil
 e in The Shed\, except when dining/drinking at Cedric’s in the lobby.\n\
 nAll audience members must wear masks at all times during the performance.
   No food of beverages will be permitted in the theater.
