 our spot.\n\n\n\nAs a part of PUBLIC POPS UP! this summer\, Public Works w
 ill be hosting a participatory dance piece set to Alicia Keys’ seminal c
 lassic “Empire State of Mind” from the Original Cast Recording of the 
 Broadway musical HELL’S KITCHEN\, which originated at The Public in the 
 fall of 2023. The city-wide initiative will be choreographed by HELL’S K
 ITCHEN’s four-time Tony-nominated director/choreographer Camille A. Bro
 wn and her organization Every Body Move\, and co-directed by Brown and P
 ublic Works’ Laurie Woolery. American Sign Language interpretation prov
 ided by ASL Artist Brandon Kazen-Maddox. It will be the ultimate celebra
 tion of New York\, bringing together folks of many ages and abilities. The
  experience will culminate in a performance both by and for New Yorkers on
  Monday\, August 12 at 6:00PM. Following the initiative\, there will be a 
 screening of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at dusk as a part of Central Park Co
 nservancy's 2024 Film Festival\, sponsored by National Geographic Partners
 \, LLC.\n\nExpanding Public Works’ 12-year tradition of bringing togethe
 r New Yorkers from all over the city\, we’re inviting YOU to be a part o
 f an ambitious\, participatory dance piece in Central Park on August 12. S
 haring the vision of the Broadway production of HELL’S KITCHEN that cele
 brates a community unified through song and dance\, Public Works will acti
 vate the entire city of New York into a shared celebration of radical civi
 c pride through LET’S HEAR IT FOR NEW YORK! An Unforgettable Dance Expe
