 ging together thousands of artists\, in celebration of the multitude of st
 ories that live within our city.\n\n“Life\, Liberty\, and Happiness” i
 s this year’s guiding curatorial theme\, highlighting how active partici
 pation in the arts helps strengthen civic bonds and grow strong communitie
 s.\n\nFrom June 12 - August 10\, we invite you to celebrate your own voice
  and artistry\, as you join with neighbors and new friends. Together with 
 Visual Director Clint Ramos and Donyale Werle Design\, our campus will blo
 ssom into a welcoming oasis where neighbors from around the corner and acr
 oss the city can gather\, relax\, participate in performances\, enjoy expa
 nded food offerings\, and even play outdoor games.\n\nThe below events are

 first time\nOn opening night\, RuPaul's Drag Race stars Sapphira Cristál 
 and Monét X Change show off their classical training for an extravaganza 
 of drag and opera! Nona Hendryx pushes the boundaries of art and technolog
 y\, combining the physical and digital worlds in The Dream Machine Experie
 nce. From June 13–16\, Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sam Green brings his li
 ve cinema documentary masterpieces together for the first time. In July\, 
 the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center performs the North American premi
 ere of Huang Ruo’s City of Floating Sounds. Bring on the laughs as the c
 lever\, big-hearted stylings of musical theater maestro Ethan Lipton &amp\
 ; His Orchestraare elevated for the first time by a full orchestra on June
  28. Or\, celebrate the Queens of Hip-Hop with an immersive night of orche
 stral music\, DJs\, and dance.\nPARTICIPATE at the intersection of arts an
 d civic engagement\nJoin us for our Civic Saturdays performance series\, d
 esigned to unite friends and strangers in the spirit of shared community. 
 On July 6\, we present Anthem to US\, the culmination of a monthslong coll
 aborative effort to create a contemporary anthem echoing our collective ho
 pes\, struggles\, and histories. At Damrosch Park\, we present The Ritual 
 of Breath\, a deeply moving\, meditative experience that responds to the m
 urder of Eric Garner. In August\, pop culture meets activism with the Ruid
 osa Fest\, the Latine-led international feminist platform\, with a full da
 y of lectures\, live music\, and a late-night silent disco.\nSING and DANC
 E with the return of long-time favorites\nNYC's largest outdoor dance floo
 r with a now-iconic 10-foot disco ball shines bright as the centerpiece of
  Summer for the City with FREE social dance nights and silent discosevery 
 week. The Wedding: New York's Biggest Day also returns for the third year\
 , inviting hundreds of couples to celebrate love. Free family shows for al
 l ages\, including storytimes\, Big Umbrella Day\, and dance workshops are
  offered all summer long. Plus\, much-loved performances—globalFEST\, a 
 Juneteenth Celebration\, BAAND Together\, Deaf Broadway\, La Casita\, and 
 so much more—come back for an encore!
