 am welcoming individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing to participate in
  an ASL–interpreted private gallery talk focusing on one of MoMA’s exh
 ibitions\, along with a wine and snack reception.\n\nIn September we will 
 explore the exhibition Hilma af Klint: What Stands Behind the Flowers with
  members of the curatorial team. This exhibition focuses on a portfolio of
  af Klint’s drawings that is new to MoMA’s collection. Breaking with t
 raditional botanical art\, af Klint juxtaposed her exquisitely rendered bl
 ossoms with precisely drawn diagrams. With this profusion of forms—an ex
 pansion of the abstract language for which she is best known—af Klint vi
 sualizes “what stands behind the flowers\,” demonstrating her belief t
 hat careful observation of her surroundings reveals ineffable aspects of t
