 eet.\nVoices of a People's History honors the centenary of historian How
 ard Zinn (1922–2010)\, author of the classic bestseller A People's His
 tory of the United States\, with a new conversation series hosted by the a
 rchivist and memory worker Zakiya Collier. Together\, Collier and her 
 guests will draw from Zinn's example of interrogating key moments of the h
 istorical record via documents\, images\, and recordings to create an il
 luminating dialogue on what the past can teach contemporary audiences. Aut
 hor and historian Donna Murch (Assata Taught Me) and researcher\, jour
 nalist\, and artist Chenjerai Kumanyika (cohost of Uncivil podcast) will
  join Collier to discuss author W. E. B. Du Bois’s seminal 1935 text
  Black Reconstruction\, which radically foregrounded the role of Blacks 
 in forging our democracy.  Actor and educator Brian Jones will also read
